From the moment he exited the bottle, Genie has inspired the impossible. Here the cast of main characters embrace in a tight hug that Aladdin would never have thought to find himself in at the film’s start.

A gift that expresses love and caring… or for those who love flowers!
This figure is available with blue forget-me-nots or yellow sunflowers or red poppies (shown).
About this Piece
“I wanted to make a figure with her face in the flowers, taking them in with her senses — smelling them, feeling the petals against her face; feeling safe in that surround. So this piece could say to someone that they are loved by those around them… if a person is experiencing difficulty, it could be a reminder of family and friends who support and are there for them. Or it could be a way to say to one special person that all of your love is surrounding them (more of a romantic interpretation)… or just a little gift for someone who loves to garden… I like that people read this piece differently. The choice of red poppies was influenced by trips to France, seeing fields of poppies. The red poppy symbolizes remembrance, so this piece could be a tribute to those who served our country.” —Susan Lordi

A hospitality or hostess gift for holiday parties, or New Home housewarming gift.
“I like the double meaning of the word ‘gathering’… of materials to form into a wreath, or gathering together with friends and family. The wide, glossy green leaves of the magnolia tree are a nice change from the evergreen—to express welcome and appreciation.” –Susan Lordi

“I love the idea of bringing music to the Nativity… and I wanted to portray an instrument that’s traditionally been used for that purpose. My son is immersed in the preservation of indigenous music in the regions of Italy and Sicily, from where my grandparents immigrated. He’s re-introduced an authentic musical tradition to our family by learning about and playing the zampogna, the Italian bagpipe (pronounced zam-pone-ya). The bagpipe is an ancient pastoral instrument played by shepherds and farmers for thousands of years, and is used in many cultures to celebrate the nativity. In present day Italy, the Zampognaro (shepherd with bagpipe) plays the Novena, the nine days leading up to Christmas… a celebration and announcement of the birth of Christ. The music is festive and vibrant, accompanied by singing and dancing. It’s a time of reunion and company – heralding the arrival of the holidays. It’s the Italian version of carolling – people gather, singing songs passed down through the generations. The zampogna is a humble shepherd’s instrument, yet it produces a rich texture of melody and rhythm. I like the thought of this joyful, symphonic music surrounding the nativity scene.” —Susan Lordi

“I view this angelic figure as an earthly personification of love. Her gaze and gesture is one of adoration. The smoky blue colour of her dress grounds her, as do the two woolly lambs she tends. I wanted her to complement the taller shepherdess figure, Peace on Earth. Together, with the other shepherds and animals, they radiate warmth, love and peaceful attentiveness.” —Susan Lordi
